Mission Statement
To provide practical counsel, direction, and encouragement to transform life based on biblical insight.
Rationale
Every individual is confronted by difficulties of varying complexities throughout his or her life. Oftentimes the person who seeks a solution to these troubles is either perplexed by the plethora of advice emanating from secular sources or a non-Christian worldview or is simply unaware that the Bible provides fundamental solutions applicable to all aspects of life. Further accentuating the problem is the fact that many people are reluctant to voice their needs or to share their troubles with pastors, elders, or mature Christians. Oftentimes a certain degree of shame may be felt in admitting a difficulty or in seeking help.
Solution
Due to expanding access to the internet and an increasing number of user services, many people are seeking information and advice from web-based sites as their first choice. Because a website offers flexibility in the presentation of a variety of topics, it is an ideal means to provide quick help to those who need it. To this end, the Renew in Knowledge website will offer a diverse array of practical topics written from a Christian perspective and based on biblical principles. It is not intended to replace personal counsel given by mature and godly individuals but will rather serve as an adjunct and supplement.
Format and Content
The Renew in Knowledge ministry focuses primarily on practical aspects of life as opposed to doctrinal matters (although the former cannot be divorced from the latter). Topics will range from financial issues, questions of marital concern, family matters, personal holiness, and so forth. The articles will be concise and informative. Contributions will come from a number of men and women across the globe of recognized maturity.
Goal
Our deepest goal is to glorify our Lord and to obey Him through serving and loving others. We are instructed in Galatians 6:2 to “Bear one another’s burdens, and so fulfill the law of Christ” (NKJV). Paul further encourages us in Philippians 2:4, “Let each of you look out not only for his own interests, but also for the interests of others.”
To this end, we heartily seek to offer godly counsel and practical advice to those who are needing it. Although use of the materials by anyone including non-Christians is expected and encouraged, the articles will be uncompromisingly Bible-based.
“All Scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness”. 2 Timothy 3:16
Our prayer is that your life will be transformed through the use of these resources.
